Zappa isn't a frontman, whereas someone like Alice Cooper is...do you see the difference there?

At the time of Mothers, Flo and Eddie were the frontmen while Zappa was the conductor/band leader.

I had to vote for Ian Anderson. Jethro Tull are my favourite band (although I haven't heard all of KC yet), but would honourably mention Plant, Morrison and Mercury.
