Tony Levin

What's an alumni? Is that what silver foil is made of? No, you buffoon - this is where you post about ex-members of the band.

Ohhh no. Tony Levin played on RF's Exposure album...and who produced PG II? They go back a long way... :D

Darren

PS. I don't think RF is actually in that top picture.

Tony has played with some of the best drummers ever.

Here are just a few:

Buddy Rich
Steve Gadd
Bill Bruford
Pat Mastelloto
Terry Bozzio
Steve Jordan
Rick Marotta
Jerry Marotta
Gregg Bissonette

I know there are others. I just can't think of them all right now. Any others I am overlooking?

I thought of him and the answer is "most probably". I just can't think of anything they played on together.

He also played on Pink Floyd A Momentary Lapse of Reason which had Nick Mason and Carmine Appice on it.

But from what I have heard about the album, I wonder if anyone was actually in the studio together when the album was actually recorded.

Some not-quite-news-yet chat from Tony on his guestbook.

Mexico: I'd love to come there again, and we're making it a priority to try to get there with my band, once we're up and touring (2006). I've also heard great things about the Baja Progfest, and hope to make it there.

Touring in the NorthEast - same answer as Mexico - we'll plan on hitting the area when the Tony Levin Band is up and touring. Although we will tour a bit in Europe in October, the U.S. touring has to wait until the new album is released. And when will that be... er... if I was home now finishing it up, that would be in January. Realistically, I'd have to predict that it'll be February. But this time, I plan to keep the band touring in short segments for quite some time, and hit some of the areas we usually miss.

Coming to England with my band: well, we haven't yet found a promotor who will book us there. Hopefully sometime in the future.

So, T-Lev band to tour through 2006... isn't Tony in another band too?

This all fits in with my theory... hmmm...

My theory is coming... eventually. Not much to it really.

And I don't live anywhere near WA. I'm in inland NSW. Where did you get that idea?

The business end of your plank? Is that a euphemism I'm unaware of? I hope not!

Cheers,

Why Owen you have a dirty mind.... The plank I speak of is the pulpit and anchor locker. I might need someone to haul anchor chain if I have a winch failure; also a place for walking mutinous dogs to their watery demise .......
Even Einstein's theory didn't take this long...I just wish that RF would get over it and start making music with KC again...

Wow, is it possible Peter Gabriel will be finishing up a new album already by then??
The sound of one hand clapping is the same as the sound of a tree falling when no one's around to hear it.
