This better not be the same night as the Philadephia Whisky Festival. Otherwise, I'm there.

Not to worry, it's November 1 this year. Say, are you aware of this one: http://www.smwsa.com/calendar.html (scroll down a bit).

Sweet! The Mistress has already declined to go, but you can't please everyone...

Too bad the Birchmere's on a Monday, otherwise I'd also be there if possible.

Awesome! I will be taking a 7 hour exam on Nov 1. I don't know if being in a room full of whisky afterwards will be a good thing or a bad thing, but it's going to be interesting!

Will you be attending either (Whisky or Fripp)?

I will try to attend the festival if my friend can go, but since it doesn't appear that Fripp is coming to Pittsburgh, piss on him.

Looks like the soundscapes are opening for The League of Crafty Guitarists (schedule at http://www.thelcg.net/). I don't know if this is a plus for me, or not. I saw the LCG with Fripp a few years back, at a small venue in Charlotte which no longer exists. My feelings about League music are a lot like the ones expressed in Eric Tamm's book about Fripp. It's technically impressive ensemble music, but ultimatly musically boring, at least for me.

Indeed, I think that first LoCG albums is very interesting and sonically they were trying to do something quite different with the concept of a guitar ensemble, but essentially the LoCG is a one-trick pony. Have I mentioned that I have a laserdisc for saleon eBay that actually features RF rambling on about Guitar Craft and it also features some KC stuff too. Go on, treat yourselves...

I have the "Intergalactic Boogie Express" Live in Europe 1991, is that considered a good representation?
