KCCC 39 - Live in Milan - 2003

I just noticed this CC39 at the bottom of Club 38.

Evidently I missed something, because a LIVE Club recording from 2003 is exactly what I have been wanting. :D

Yes, it's about time. All the better that I was at that show. 8)

How's this one compare to the other '03 shows on DGM Live? Is the soundboard mix decent? Hopefully you can actually hear Trey on this one...

Glad you asked that, because I almost forgot about this one. Has anybody bought it and/or heard it? I'd like to get it, and the two reviews at DGM Store sound pretty good.

So far I couldn't listen to it as liked (or as it deserves) and I can say that the mix is good, but the audience noise is very low (as DGM had done before), so it's strange as we are used to the audience noise at the same level as the music (or close). It's noticeable at the end of the long Introductory Soundscape.

Hey, long time since I posted here. Still check the headlines and browse often enough. Nothing really to contribute most of the time.
Just got this in the mail today. I love it, sounds great. The thing that really struck me right away was Pat's drum sound  . Never sounded better. It's a pretty ripping set. The only other '03 shows I have are the P3 VA CC disc, and the PTB DVD/Electrik CD. I don't mind that the audience sound is cut down. According to the liner notes, there was alot of audience chatter during the intro soundscape. Who wants to hear that?

I would like it if the next Collectable KC series was the '03 Kingston NY show. Haven't heard that, I'm still not down with the downloads.

So #40 is Boston '72 :? . I promised myself I wouldn't buy anymore Islands era live shows, unless they were A+++ sound quality, and heavy on the improvs.

This might change your mind... According to some unofficial sources of information this show is unique for including some blowing on theme(s) from the Lizard suite.

KCCC 40 Orpheum Theatre, Boston, 27/03/72.
I've got this show on a bootleg CD called "Celebration of the Lizard"
1. Introduction
2. Pictures of a City
3. Formentera Lady
4. Sailors Tale
5. Cirkus
6. Groon
7. 21st Century Schizoid Man
8. Improv (Earthbound -ish)
9. Improv (Earthbound -ish)
10. Cadence and Cascade

Track 8 & 9 is one improv but split into two on the CD
It's a good choice for a release (I'll still buy the KCCC version)
