Venue VOGUE

What a fucking show last night. Over two hours and fifteen minutes of non-stop exceptional music by Chris and his band. Known for his bands, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave, as well as his own solo works, his song writing skills are only excelled by his one of a kind voice. One of the most recognizable voices in rock music. Oh yea, he can still hit the screams and high notes, just as he did over 25 years ago with Soundgarden. I have always been amazed by his voice, especially when I became a huge Soundgarden fan and saw them a couple times live, and thought then, this guys voice will never last. Well, it certainly has, and he sounds as good as ever. Performing before a sold out crowd in one of the better and smaller venues in Indianapolis, he performed a long setlist covering his musical career from the beginning to now. For us movie lovers, Chris co-wrote and performed the song accompanying the opening titles for the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale, "You Know My Name". This is one of the best recent (meaning last five years) concerts I have attended and the crowd was outstanding too, as they always are in Indianapolis. I was talking to the lead singer of the opening band "outernational" towards the end of the show, he was standing by the mechandise stand, and he told me this was the best and most appreciative crowd they have played before so far. It showed, because it was as close to a perfect night of music as I have seen, for a long long time.
Everyone thinks I'm psychotic, except for my friends deep inside the earth.
