If I were BB I'd probably be more pissed about RF publishing the whole exchange on the internet.

Nothing is private when it comes to RF.

"We are a transparent and ethical business...blah...blah...blah" Fripp bleats, "Now let me backtrack on a gentleman's agreement we made all those year's ago."

There are no gentlemen in business. That's one aphorism RF can take from me. ;-)

As I read it, Fripp's not backtracking on any agreement. He says that both Bruford and Wetton agreed not to take writer's credit on the song "Red," but that EG screwed up the paperwork. Apparently Wetton also remembers it that way, but Bruford doesn't. The track certainly sounds like it was entirely written by Fripp. But I know that the band always participated in publishing regardless of who did the writing, and it seems that Bruford expected that to happen no matter what anyone agreed to; he has been getting paid all along.

Maybe Fripp should renounce Bill's 'silent' writing credit on "Trio" also. Although, there wouldn't be much $$ to claim from SABB re-issues!

Expect Nothing.
There's just three things in my life that I regret
There's everything I've done, everything I'm doing
And what I haven't done yet

I agree they don't need him each is a great artist on their own. But no one plays like Fripp especially when he's with Kc I would love to see him in that content. :D

to me, fripp on a piece like larks iv, where he rips through a guitar part like that and picks every single note...it is hard to imagine anyone else doing that quite like he did! how does fripp feel about a king crimson without him?

It WOULD NOT be King Crimson without Fripp.
