Fripp's "Fave Crim" Poll

Postby RYG on Mon Jan 18, 2010 10:39 pm

We all know Mr. Fripp is an odd-ball in many ways as far as his opinions go (changes faster than the wind depending upon who's pushing his buttons at any given time) and has a long and winding past with how he feels about certain Crims of the past (and present -- is KC still alive ?). Just for fun I thought I'd ask the question: Who Fripp's most liked fellow Crim (Crim, in this case, is someone who played on a Crim record or with them live even though RF may not consider them a "full memeber")? We can use the interview's Bill has posted over the years for a reference.
My favorite movies (right now):
"Lost In Translation", "Mulholland Drive", "Pulp Fiction", "Sin City", "Buffalo '66", "Ghost World", "Apocolypse Now (Redux)", "Donnie Darko", "Raising Arizona", "Shawshank Redemption"

I guess he loves Ian McDonald the most for without his musical talent and his gift for a simple melody, the success of the King Crimson cash-cow would have been very short-lived.

Clearly the other Crim who has lasted the longest, Adrian Belew. Fripp also owns some of his paintings

I do not know if he liked Adrian or not...
but I think he liked that Ade had his recording studio.
I do not know if he liked Tony Levin or not...
but how could he reject the guy who looked like Mr. Gurdjieff...
