Freddie Mercury is hors councours in every poll of this kind.

So a voted for Roger Daltrey maybe because I've watched the Amazing Journey - The Story of The Who DVD recently.

I'm kind of surprised our younger members haven't voted for Thom Yorke. I guess I should have included Maynard James Keenan too, actually I forgot to. Of the current bands, or bands of the last five to ten years, I would easily vote for Thom Yorke.

Thom Yorke is not a frontman, per se.

Indy

We don't have any younger members. Just old, older & eldest. (You're in the last category BTW)...

Robert Plant without a doubt. Just look at any live Led Zeppelin film.

or listen to any Zep album... He's the model for just about any frontman of most any band since Zep. If a dictionary had a picture of a frontman, I would imagine it would be Robert Plant.

And Darren, why is Thom Yorke not a frontman? He certainly looks like one to me. Maynard may not be frontman, because he stands behind a curtain in the back. :D

Because he lacks any kind of stage presence or charisma. I've seen pot-plants with more charisma than ol' wonky eye.

good point, I've only seen Radiohead a few times in concert videos, and you are right. I wish Radiohead would release a full live concert DVD, it would have to be a big seller. There's something not right about them, I'm starting to think. This last marketing ploy was nothing short of weird.

Other, Please specify - Johnny "Rotten" Lydon

The most "out there" frontman ever. After the Sex Pistols he showed us where that outrage came from and went to in PiL. One of the most obnoxious and angry frontmen in anti-Rock'n'Roll, has to get my vote.
