Took advantage of a Best Buy 10% Off DVD sale today:

The Last House on the Left (Uncut)
Wes Craven's first movie, banned all over the place when released, but nevertheless a great piece of chilling terror.

Manhunter (Restored director's cut, unrated)
The original and best version of the novel "Red Dragon". This is a far better movie than Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, or the remake "The Red Dragon".

Suspiria (Not Rated, uncut, uncensored, remastered)
The definitive version of Dario Argento's stylish classic horror masterpiece. Also features the fully remastered landmark soundtrack by "Goblin".

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Many many extras, including both the British and American versions. Complete commentaries, and a special theatrical version, as if you were watching it in a theater with all the audience reactions.

Tales of Terror (Box of ten horror movies)
Includes: Dario Argento's Deep Red, Christmas Evil, Web of the Spider, Circus of Fear, House on the Edge of the Park, Messiah of Evil, Die Sister Die, Lady Frankenstein, The Werewolf and the Vampire Woman, Sisters of Death.

After watching my new "Suspiria" last night uncut, and then an "R" rated version of "Deep Red", it was time to complete the famous Dario Argento trilogy UNCUT. From Amazon:

Tenebrae (aka Tenebre, aka Unsane) Uncut (101 mins.)
Argento's third film in the trilogy

Deep Red Uncut (126 mins.)
Argento's first major film in the horror/slasher genre, and first in the trilogy of Deep Red, Suspiria, and Tenebrae

My movie watching recently has been revisiting all my old Dario Argento bootlegs I got, when I was publishing "The Gorefest". Some of them were pretty good quality, but a couple (especially "Inferno") was not too good. So, I decided to upgrade as many as I could with the uncut DVD releases now available. Dario Argento is the Italian king of Horror so to speak, but many of his films are just damn good thrillers and mysteries, even though they usually are very graphic. To me and many fans of the genre, they are more like paintings in motion, although Macabre in theme.

won from Ebay:
Dario Argento- Phenomena (Uncut and Uncensored)
This was known in America as "Creepers". This stars a very young Jennifer Connelly.

Currently bidding on Ebay:
Dario Argento-Inferno (Uncut and Uncensored)
This is a sequel to Argento's most famous and best movie "Suspiria", concerning the occult and a trio of witches called "The Three Mothers".

Also, I had to upgrade one of my favorite movies, and the movie that created the sub-genre slasher/splatter film. That is Mario Bava's "Twitch of the Death Nerve (aka Bay of Blood)". That movie started the whole slasher genre as I said, and "Friday the 13th" owes almost all its splatter scenes to that milestone in movie making. Mario Bava came along a little before Argento in Italian filmmaking, and also worked with Argento on a couple of movies. "Twitch of the Death Nerve" is Bava's best known film, and by far his best. It's a sort of a twist on the "And Then There Were None" theme, but Bava gives the audience a little wink at the end, to let us know it was all in good gory fun. yea baby!!!

won from Ebay:

Mario Bava-Twitch of the Death Nerve (aka Bay of Blood)

And after I got hooked on exploring my old passions, the king of Italian gore demanded me to also upgrade my old collection of his masterpieces. That being Lucio Fulci, probably best remembered for one of the best Zombie pictures ever made, simply titled "Zombie". Of course, all his movies were basically of the zombie sub-genre. His best movie being "The Beyond" aka (Seven Doors of Death" (censored American version))"

ordered from CDUNIVERSE

Lucio Fulci-Zombie (Uncut and Uncensored)

Lucio Fulci-Lucio Fulci Collection Vol. 1 (completely uncut versions)
Includes both "The Beyond" and "The House by the Cemetery"

Just ordered from Amazon stores:

Scarlet Diva
Directed by and starring Asia Argento, daughter of Dario Argento. Over the weekend I finally got to see "B. Monkey" starring Asia, and she is definitely my new hot actress. Had to order this semi-biographical movie she made. Did I say, SHE IS HOT??
