Larks Tongue in Aspic part 1

Postby petestorz on Tue Sep 22, 2015 11:58 pm

Anyone else here a fan of this album? This tune in particular? Part 1?

When I was doing one of my degrees in classical guitar, listening to this tune totally changed my life and changed the way I listened to music. Finally someone had created some amazingly intelligent hard rock music that was a mixture of so many things and created a world where anything goes. The poly metrical stuff all through it was amazing and the fact that they built to an incredible bass solo at the end with the voices whispering and stuff... They really said something artistically with this piece I thought.

Anyway, I finally sat down to learn this thing. Don't know for the life of me why I would wait so long to learn it!

Hope you like it!
