Sounded like a mess to me. I do hear the ghost of Larks in there. Not sure I liked it :|

I thought it was an improv with a coincidental resemblance to the pieces I mentioned. Perhaps I am wrong. If they were actually playing Larks I, then they murdered it.

In any case, yeah, sure, it was a bit of a mess. But I really enjoyed it as a messy chaotic improv. I LOVE CHAOS! My favourite double-trio CD is actually "THRaKaTTaK". I doubt there are many who'd agree with me on that one.

A friend of mine identified Larks too, but I didn't... :(

Wonderful chaotic jamming... can't wait to hear it with Mel Collins wailing on the sax!

I listened to it a couple times, and can't really hear much of "Larks", it just sounds like KC material to me.
Everyone thinks I'm psychotic, except for my friends deep inside the earth.

I doubt that's what they were actually doing. If anything they were just seeing what they could do over its rhythm part, and if that's the case, I only hope this group murders everything they touch.

It's the drum pattern. This one sounds an awful lot like the rhythm Bill and Jamie play under John's solo (on the original studio version it's the part that starts around 5:10).

There's everything I've done, everything I'm doing

spot on!! For a second i thought Wetton's bass line was going to start. I dont think they were playing larks outright but there are some similarities in the percussion

I thought it was just improvisation. And when I first mentioned "Larks" and "Power to Believe" I meant the general sound of the albums, not the specific songs. I thought it sounded as if those two incarnations of Crim had been fused. AND I LOVED IT!!!

The beast is back!!

But one big doubt: JJ's vocals are strong enough for Crim?

Ah! Good question!

We've heard him with the old catalog. What will he sing? What are they rehearsing?
