Wait a minute...

The 10th anniversary isn't until 11 February 2013 - that's when I first breathed life into the original FraKctured database.

So we have some time to plan a proper commemoration!

Should we create an event in FB?

I have no idea (no, it's true - I am completely clueless) what one could do to celebrate a decade of this stuff? Anyone? Any clues?

I was going by the date of your membership, which I realize now was not the official beginning.

I don't know, but I think it is somewhat of an EVENT, cuz I don't believe anybody expected this thing to last this long, not that that is bad or good, just something I'm kind of proud of. Just a return of some of the original members would be nice to see. but we don't have much control over that.

I'm surprised it's been ten years, and not because it's been ten years of fun. :) It certainly meant a lot more to me in the early years. I was delighted when ProjeKction rose from the ashes of FraKctured. I remember that well. I don't know how to celebrate, either. Any way to easily put together a "greatest hits?" However you define it: greatest number of posts, recurring topic, etc.

those early days pretty much made this site a boxing ring for a while, not that I had anything to do with that. actually, I had quite a bit to do with that, to the point that the guy that ran the old King Crimson forum, became a member here to just fight back. not sure those guys had as much fun as some of us did with all of that, but it was pretty memorable. that long long thread disappeared a long time ago, but if there was a way to revisit that, it would probably be hilarious now.
